Our team has vast experience in fish and wildlife habitat improvement, water resources, geomorphology,
wetland and floodplain design for both fish and wildlife, fisheries structures, hydraulics, hatcheries, plant and riparian ecology, and fisheries engineering and construction projects. We specialize in habitat assessments, design, drafting, modeling, permitting, and construction. Our Team includes an engineer licensed in Idaho, Oregon, Montana, and Washington (WY pending), a fluvial geomorphologist, a plant ecologist, a civil designer/drafter specializing in 3D surface modeling, and a construction management lead. We also have multiple partners within agencies and consulting firms.
Value based solutions to benefit our natural resources, wildlife, and fisheries. We are also your Public Works Construction experts and can help you move from scoping through design and permitting, to construction with ease and confidence.
Performing watershed and fishery assessments, geomorphic determinations, floodplain and riparian restoration design, stream restoration based on natural processes, with knowledge of limiting factors and biological needs to design and construct sustainable conservation improvements.
From start to finish, we can help with all your survey, design, permitting, and construction needs. We've worked side-by-side with both wildlife and fisheries biologists for 15 years addressing biological needs, limiting factors, conservation growth, floodplain restoration, hatchery design, passage issues, and developing water and food sources.
RIVHAB can conduct aerial drone surveys for multiple natural resource uses including:
Just some of what we do...
Our Lead licensed Engineer has 20 years of specialized experience addressing fisheries, wildlife, wetland, water resources, and hatchery needs from 14 years of working directly for the Idaho Fish and Game as well as a consultant for two large firms. RIVHAB was started to provide this technical expertise as a team including two incredible scientists (geomorphology and plant ecology) focused on stream and floodplain restoration design for both fish and wildlife, habitat creation, conservation and expansion, fish passage and fisheries facilities, hatcheries, and hydraulics from startup through construction.
Providing quality and licensed designs, management, and implementation of construction and construction oversight. Our team works with you from start-up to final substantial completion of construction. We work with you from an initial "kicking dirt" site visit where we generate ideas on the ground, developing preliminary plans or alternatives, cost estimating, assisting with permitting, 2D and 3D modeling of terrain and water, final designs, through final construction. We are experts at the Public Works construction process and work great with Contractors (references provided upon request). Our ability to communicate project needs to various stakeholders has facilitated success of several habitat and engineering projects for the state of Idaho. We are also a Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL) to ensure quality control and compliance in sensitive waters including ESA-listed species.
We meet you with enthusiasm and professionalism to assist you in constructing your vision towards a final product, whether it be increasing rearing capacity, expanding floodplains and wetlands, civil design and CAD drafting, improving water supply, or navigating through environmental permits. Our backgrounds are diverse but we all have a profound appreciation of wildlife and fisheries and will work with you to help make your vision a reality. Our Owner is a born and raised Idahoan, hunter and fisherman who understands conservation and habitat needs. She works well with landowners, construction contractors, engineers, scientists, and stakeholders. Our goal is successful collaboration with professionalism to obtain positive project outcomes.
